'Jari Mari: Of Cloth and Other Stories'
Jari Mari is a documentary film set in the narrow lanes of the Jari Mari slum in Bombay house hundreds of sweatshops where people have no right to organize. The film, by Surabhi Sharma, records the changes in the nature and organization of Bombay's workforce over the past two decades. It has received several accolades including the ‘Winner of Third Best Film Award’ at the Film South Asia event in 2001.
