Dr. Ilina Sen has recently been in the news for the infamous treatment meted out to her husband, the Human Rights Activist Dr. Binayak Sen. The active role she is playing in the quest for justice for her husband has a long history of socio-political activism and personal experiences of social harassment. For instance, In a move that reeks of police-harassment, Dr. Ilina Sen was booked by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism squad under Foreigners Act, 1946. The Case was registered in Wardha. This apart, Dr. Ilina Sen is a prominent name among the seekers of justice in the Indian context.
